Qur'an and Book Cover

    The first time I made a Qur'an cover was because I made a book cover for my dearest sister, it was a present for her birthday. 
    But before that my neighbour ask me to make a Qur'an cover for her because her Qur'an was very big and one sells it. But it took her 3 years of waiting for me to make it.... 'cause I don't have the idea how to make a nice one....
Then another neighbour also ask, but it took her 2 years of waiting.... 
So I started making a present for my sister, I really don't know what to give by that time.... I just start thinking, matched the fabrics I have... then it turns out that I think I want to make a sketchbook for her. So I ordered a number "50" made of gold. 
Then I started sewing.... Wallaaaa.... 
nice isn't it?

After that I know what to do to make a Qur'an cover... and until now, people still requesting.... I can make it in a day now.... not 3 years.... hahaha....

And this is a book that my sister ordered for her friends birthday.... there is a company brand attach to it.... the person seems so happy receiving this kind of present..... alhamdulillah....

I'm also happy when somebody like my work....

     It turns out that I have to introduce myself to the world as the owner of this blog...

Hai! I'm Ziah Prikasih
I live in Depok, West Java, Indonesia.

Well the main thing is I want the world to know that I'm making bag as a hobby.... I don't make it all the time, not yet at least.... InsyaAllah in the future... maybe... I don't know yet what I'm going to do in the future.... just had some plans ... just don't know yet how to realize it.... also plans might grows or change in the future... who knows...

    As you might know that I live in Depok, West Java, Indonesia.
I want to live here as long as possible, because I have nice neighboorhood, nice neighboors, reachable friends, etc. I just feel comfy at this moment, that's it!

    ooow, I have to tell you about the bags actually, not about me.... ups sorry... I was carried away...
The bags.... hm... I produced it in our guest room, and our teracce turns out a guest room... soo I accept guests in my front terrace ( which is the only terrace I have #big smile#).

 
That was my working table, I only have one table at that moment. My old notebook and my old sewing machine....

now I have two table and another elna 664 machine...and still full.... hahaha.... everybody just put things on my table....



    I used to making some sketches of words since I was junior highschool, then I became an architecture student in the University of Indonesia which make my skill just a little bit better.... and during my holiday I was taking a sewing course. It turns out very fun, but I can not handle my backpain back then. so after the course i just stop sewing. 
    When i was working, mostly I got interior projects, and I like to sew the cushion by my self, just for fun... although its a lot cheaper when i ask some body else to make it for me....

Since I like sewing.... I spend most of my ekstra money for fabric. And after 2 years my rack is full and don't have the guts to buy anymore, I feel guilty toward my husband 'cause the fabric I use is only a little campare to the fabric I bought....

     Thinking about the waste I made lately..... Left over fabric.....I have lots of small pieces of many kind of fabric, which still I keep it in a big plastic bag. thinking I still can used it someday although only for a small letter like i ussually use on a bag.... 

 




So I was thingking of using those small pieces of fabric to something.... and it became a zipper wallet just enaough to put some money in it... 

I cut the fabric into long ribbon and after that I attached the long ribbon fabric to the wallet.... I become really nice... I like it my self....

A pencil case.... Someone requested this soft pink pencil case... it doesn't really need a lot of fabric also ....

but I made it not from my left over fabric because I don't have the fabric yet by that time.... so it's a brand new fabric.... :)

 

These are key wallet for appartment, it only fits to credit card size and I can hang a door key on the side of it.... 
My friend order this for her clients....

Finally I made bigger wallet.... just for fun....

 

It's the same style like the fabric that I cut like a ribbon, it's just that I attached the fabric onto one another so it looks like layers of fabric....
The layers made the wallet become thicker...

third day

It all begins in the year of 2011 when I was making a small tote bag like 30 cm x 40 cm size.... the aplication on it was sew by hand.... and it took me a lot of time just to sew it... but not the whole day sewing it ofcourse....
Well, i dedicated the bag for my sister.... i hope she like it.....

Then after that, my neighbour ask me to make a bag for her doughter, another hand made bag....
feels like forever when i was making it.... but at the end it turns out that I was happy to know that I can finished it....


Then my cousin notice also.... and she ordered a few bag..... just to make sure that she would like the bag, I made some sketches before I make those bag....

 












As you can see.... the design grew and become more full then the drawing it self.... I might don't like empty space on the bag.... hihihi....

by that time I'm using "emaq'ue" as brand... my nick name when I was still a student...did you see my little sign on the left bottom corner?
nice isn't it? :)

and the last but not least....another sketches for the third bag she ordered....

     For the picture I uploaded it a few months later.For publicity I used my name.... "Ziah",then my husband add "Aksen",want to make it "accent" but it feels not so Indonesian... so it became "Ziah Aksen" 




by that time I'm using my first email address.... but it turns out that I use Gmail for my interior work because it's easier to communicate by project... so I use it now also....

Trying to make some content in it.... hmm.... what should i share.....well i guess i'm going to share one of the bag i made for a friend.... her company.... Atelier Auzie 
 This Bag is made of white thick fabric like an old fabric, the words are printed digitally.
I made it last year, base on request when she came to Indonesia, and now she's living in the Netherland....
